George Marshall, RIIFF Executive Director: Curating Documentary Films for Film Festival Expositon

The 2010 Rhode Island International Film Festival is now in its second month with its Call for Entries, with a full nine months until the 2010 festival, which is scheduled for next August. At this writing, entries are up 35% over 2009, with many feature documentaries being submitted. Over the next few months, I will detail how our films are selected, provide case examples, and discuss how the Festival determine its needs.
